Associate of Arts in Secondary Teacher Education
(60 Credit Hours)

This degree program is designed so that upon completion students are prepared for work as an Educational Assistant or for transfer into a Bachelor of Arts/Science in Secondary Education. At UNM, Secondary Education students are required to enroll in a subject concentration area. Additionally, the submission of an Education Preparation Program Portfolio, after completing the Bachelor's degree, is also part of the state licensure process.
